Lupus Isn’t Always Visible

October 30, 2026

Someone may look well and still be living with intense fatigue or joint pain. Lupus is an autoimmune disease, and its symptoms can vary from person to person and change over time.

Three facts worth knowing:
• Fatigue can affect daily activities and quality of life.
• Symptoms may worsen during flares and ease during periods of remission.
• Lupus is not contagious.

Understanding starts with listening. Instead of assuming how someone feels, try asking: “How can I support you today?”
